I was so excited to hear about the contest for Sumfest ‘09 then found out I had to be a Jamaican resident
Total bummer. Is there any other contests for non residents??? I am dying to go! This is the greatest lineup and highly anticipated event ever!
I agree! It’s frustrating but tickets are expensive and local citizens should get to enjoy the concert as well, so I can’t fault Summerfest Productions for running this contest, just wish they’d offer up an international contest as well.
If you’re interested in attending the show and looking for a travel/hotel/ticket deal and traveling companions, check out this NYC Reggae Meetup offer: http://www.meetup.com/livereggaenyc/calendar/9167994/
$1200 seems steep at a glance but it includes a lot for that price and sounds worthwhile if you’re definitely attending Sumfest.
