Help Slightly Stupid end the War on Drugs and Legalize Marijuana
Slightly Stupid has dedicated their Legalize It tour to raising awareness regarding The War on Drugs in the United States and California in particular. In November 2010, California voters will vote on Proposition 19, also known as the Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010. Yes, you read that right – this is a serious proposal to legalize marijuana, which could lead to similar reforms around the country. Slightly Stoopid has been working with organizations including NORML, Marijuana Policy Project, and Tax Cannabis to spread the word and build support for prop 19.
If you’re an unregistered California voter, remember that the voter registration deadline is October 18th. Then the vote happens in November.
For more information about the benefits legalization and regulation of marijuana in the United States and proposals for how legalization could be implemented, check out NORML’s case for marijuana legalization and regulation.
